    Hey people !

Long story short. I downloaded about 2000 files to my desktop ( IDM said it was going in a different folder) but accident and flooded me out. My computer lagged out and I did a hard reboot. Thats when I could not see a start menu or see my desktop. I was able to get into C drive and move all 2000 files to my external. I thought the problem should be fixed but it didnt. I have ran virus scanners and registry fixes but still nothing. Im thinking some way some thing changed my winlogon or desktop ini or somthing along the lines of that. Here is my HJT report

For the most part your HijackThis doesn't seem too suspicious.

    Try this:

On your next reboot, hit ctl-alt-del and go to the task manager. If there is an explorer.exe already running, end the task.
    Go to File>New Task(Run)
    Type in explorer.exe
    See what happens.

Thank you for your reply. I did that and still if I click anywhere on the start menu or bar it just says explorer.exe is not responding. I think I deleted winlogon from kasperspy telling me its a virus.. this memory of mine is vague. Just throwing it out there. Thanks again

Use the Vista cd to boot into vista. Head to the Repair option and let it do it's thing.

It'll replace any damaged/missing files that seem to be causing your issues.
