I have inherited an old Panasonic PT-LM1E digital projector. I only want to use it for screening material stored on DVDs. When I connect up, the Vista laptop screen is zoomed up and fuzzy, as is the projection. When I disconnect my desktop icons are all jumbled up, and everything is very slow. I have to do a System Restore to get things back to normal. Is it possible that the projector is incompatible with Vista? Allan

Hi Allan,

I'm not using Vista yet, but in my past experience the problems you are describing are usually hardware related.

I.e.the projector not being compatible with video driver in your laptop.

Sometimes just connecting up a projector changes your laptop screen resolution and you have to manually change it back or reboot.

Maybe Vista is trying to adjust for you but not succeeding.

Have you tried the projector on another laptop or desktop?

Sorry, maybe not much use and maybe off base!!
