So i went to boot up my computer today and..... nothing. it got to the vista loading screen and screen turned black and it just hung there. i waited like 10 minutes then held the power button in for 5 seconds to turn it off. When i turned it back on it went into the recovery console and i went through the startup recovery option and it said that the "system volume on disk is corrupt."

does anyone know how to fix this problem or have a possible solution??

i am running vista home premium 32 bit with a 500GB HDD
