My dell xps came with mcafee on it. I installed norton also. For six months now norton operates fine. The only time I hear from mcafee is when it crashes vista windows, which is a least once a day.
    Should I uninstall mcafee?
And if so, what is the best way?
    thanks

Here is a program that will help you remove the anti virus of your choice. It get's rid of all kinds of stuff that is left behind after the standard uninstallation. The program takes you through the program's uninstaller and then it goes through it's clean up.

Well yes, but if there are conflicts they can affect various PCs different ways. If you don't want my advice, then just don't take it, simple as that.
