when i went to favorites and chose one, instead of appearing on the desk top it went to the address bar and then if I click on it instead of coming up it gets sucked into the bottom of the monitor screen. It's no fun. john

    Hi John,
What operating system are you running?
    Is this in IE?
Try right clicking on the taskbar at the bottom of the page and then go to Toolbars, see if you have a check by Links or Addresses? If so, try unchecking it.
When did it start? Did you download any new programs just before it happened?

Hi Del, Sorry I neglected to mention That it is Windows 98 and IE. I don't have check marks next to addresses or links. The last download was from Microsoft to update Windows 98 about a week ago. john

Sounds like it's opening in minimized view everytime.
If you have the IE icon on quick launch (next to the Start button on the taskbar) Right click on properties, if it says Run Minimized, select Run Normal window. then click ok.

 I'm sorry Del I just found out that the bar where the pages went is not called the address bar but rather the status bar. None the less when I click on the desktop icon it says minimize all windows so I put it in the undo minimize all position.

Well Del, it seems to have solved the problem. The wierdness was sort of intermitent. If i rebooted it would seem to work. One other odd thing was that when I went to a web site last night and tried to copy and paste I couldn't but now I can. So, so far so good. Thank you, John
