The Intel D945GPM motherboard appears to have been introduced in late 2005 - early 2006.

It does not have driver support for Windows 7.

Well got windows 7 installed and got the drivers off the Intel website they did have some for win 7 but the on-board graphic can't handle windows aero, so I put an old quadro fx 4000 that was donated.

My point is that it's working, but the single core is not doing to well

You didn't provide any specs, except for the motherboard, so I don't know what specs you're working with.

I keep Aero turned off in Windows Vista and Windows 7 because I have no need for it, and turning it off puts less of a load on the computer.

Where are you seeing "Nvidia Away Mode System"?

Are their any NVIDIA-related entries in the startup list and/or in the services list?

I'm not sure what you mean by "Windows uninstall".

Are you referring to the Control Panel - Programs And Features list where your computer's installed programs are listed?

If you're positive that you have no NVIDIA devices in that computer, I don't see any problem with you uninstalling any NVIDIA-related entries in the "Programs And Features" list.

It appears to be a different computer with an ASUS motherboard, but you have NVIDIA GeForce GT 620M listed in your "Computer Specifications".

Well at the time I Didn't but now I put in a Nvidia Graphics card so i'ma going to keep it.

I'm sorry I should have pointed that out it is a different computer than the one that is listed on my specs. The one listed under my specs is my laptop, and other one i'm trying to fix up.

    Thanks for you help

Go to Control Panel - Device Manager

Click the + in Display Adapters

    What's listed there?

on the computer that I'm working on I get NVIDIA quadro FX 1400, witch is what is installed.

But at the time I posted this there was on NVIDIA products, but it's all good now.
