I've researched the existing posts and Google, and found a wide variety of answers on this one.
Spybot came up with several hits of backweb. I think it slipped by with a new Logitech cordless mouse install on my laptop. (I'm running XP.) Some say that it is no big deal; others say it's trojan with all capital letters. May inclination is to zap it through Spybot, but I'm a little anxious because I came across two people complaining that their mouse would not work right after they did.
Does anyone have a definitive take on backweb? Should I zap via Spybot, uninstall via another method, or just not worry about it? (Btw, I've made sure it's not in msconfig sys startup.)
Thanks!
