Solved: Why does my WIN AMP play my Mp3's in stereo,But when I play my CD's........

    CD audio is controller by a small cable running from you CD drive to your sound card. If this cable is not the right one for your setup (left right ground instead of left ground right) you will only get one channel out of a CD.

    Regular audion, like winamp and WAV files are played through the sound card and have nothing to do with this cable, so won't be affected by it.

    Solution - get the right cable for your CD drive, or rearrange the wires in the one you have.

    The cable should look like this:

    This is a volunteer site. I don't work for him - nobody here does.

    I do try to help him out some, but he doesn't pay me for it. Basically administrator means I can close/delete vulgar posts and move posts to the correct forum if needed.

    I've been so busy at my real job lately that I haven't had much time to help around here though.
