Is there any way to stop Win. Me. from placing shortcuts in "My Documents"? Why is this done, it seems these shortcuts are useless? It's becoming a pain deleting them. Thanks Dave.

Shortcuts to what programs? I've never been aware of Windows ever placing a shortcut in My Documents unless I created it.

If I for instance, open a floppy or download something to my desk top, to name a few instances. Me. puts a shortcut in my documents and if the floopy is not in the drive when you click on that shortcut, it's pointless?? Thanks Dave.
