When I try shutting down it takes a very long time &
when I use control, alt & del it says Win95 Rpc Wmsg window not responding.
Then if you hit shut this program it closes out . What can I do to correct this?

I've found that too, and have advised people to try that at other boards.
And in two cases I've been told it solved their problem.

It's an odd thing, for I'd never heard of this error before, but there sure seems to be a lot of this going on at the moment.

I've heard some MS MVPs suggesting it could be caused by the removal of spyware like WebHancer, Web 3000, and New..Net.
MS Messenger has also been cited.

    Greetz,

You're welcome and thanks for the follow-up. Like Tony said, there doesn't seem to be a definite explanation for this relatively new problem -- but evidently we at least have a fix.
