Ok this might be the wrong place to post this so feel free to move.

This is more of a annoyance then a issue.

When I used outlook on my XP box it added hyperlinks automatically when i typed one into the message.

Now with Windows 7 I have to go back to every thing I want to link and manually add hyperlinks to each.

As a web designer you can imagine I send alot of hyperlinks through my email. And although I have dealt with it for almost 4 months now.. I would really like to know if I can fix it.

By the way this does not seem to be a local issue. I have checked outlook on a few different machines and all of them do the same thing. Wondering if it is maybe a UAC issue of sorts with 7 and Outlook.

    Thanks in advance

Google Google and more Google I found the solution so I will post it incase any one comes here searching for the answer.

The simple solution is to edit microsoft word. As outlook 2007 uses it as its base for composing the message.

    Word 2007:
    - Click on the Office button.
    - Click on "Word Options".
    - Click on "Proofing".
    - Click on "AutoCorrect Options".
    - Choose the " AutoFormat as you Type" tab.
    - Check the checkbox at "Internet and Network Paths with Hyperlink"

Now the hyperlinks in Word 2007 should work just fine.

If you still experience trouble creating hyperlinks in Outlook, it's almost the same thing, except for the "Word Options" button that is called "Editor Options" in Outlook 2007.

That's why I asked what the outgoing message format was set to. It's not always Word. It can be rich text, HTML, or plain text. Using Word as an e-mail editor is just one option.
