Solved: Windows 7 Printing

I attempted to print but it says my printer no longer exists , when I try to add it says Active Directory Domain Service not running , there is also a message linked from bottom of screen " Windows Security Centre Services cannot be started??
Any help please??:confused::confused::mad:

1. Sorry the system gives message that it is unable to provide all information files may be missing??

2. At the bottom of my screen is a message Open Action Centre and to turn on Windows Security Centre –It fails to with a message unable to turn start??

Windows update was also not running but I appear to have recovered that!!

3. In the Windows Update history I have a number of failed installations examples are below. I have attempted to install one but failed immediately??

Definition Update for Microsoft Security Essentials - KB2310138 (Definition 1.187.122.0)
Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - Intel(R) HD Graphics

Update for Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility View List for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2598845)

4. When I attempt to print it does not find my printer and when I attempt to add a printer it gives an error message - Active Directory Domain Services not running??

Hi, Please do this:

http://static.techguy.org/download/SysInfo.exe

download that to your download location...find the file, double click to open it ... then,

Copy /Paste the results into a Reply here in your thread.....

That will show us important generic info on things we need to see to help with your issue

it looks like some of your services is not starting if that's the case then that's why the printer and some windows updates is not working. for the printer why don't you try going to the computer services and check if the print spooler is on STOP.

yes several of my Services including Windows Updater & Print spooler had stopped or were disabled - thanks for the advice it was most helpful. Cheers Stuart.
