Hi, I just re-installed windows 7 on my desktop pc and have a question about the settings of the details pane in windows explorer (the one that appears and the bottom when you select a file). Previously when I selected video files (.mp4, .avi and .mkv) I would get the details at the bottom, the video frame width and height, size of file etc.. but since I reinstalled I don't get these details when I select video files. I know its only a small problem but I work with video files a lot and have gotten used to seeing the resolution of files without having to open them. Does anyone know how I can get the details pane to show these details again? At the moment it only displays the video size, name and state.

Here is a screen-shot of the details pane for a selected .mkv video file on my laptop, this is what I want it to display on my pc.

Is the folder set as a "Video" type?
Look at the properties of the folder, and there you will see a drop down list for the type.

Yes all of the folders that contain video files are set to Video.

OK! I figured it out! The MP4 and AVI file details for some reason decided to show on their own. And for the MKV details I had to download a DivX Plus Tech Previewer which installed MKV compatibility into explorer, I guess I just forgot to re-install this after installing win7.

Here's a link to the previewer if anyone else wants to have mkv compatibility in explorer:
