I am running Windows 7 Professional with updates.
I recently ran Microsoft Security essentials.
Now, when I open Windows Explorer and begin moving or opening files or folders it shuts down.
Message is Windows Explorer has stopped working.
It then attempts to find the problem, can not do this and then will not open again until I re-boot.
I have searched the 'net and this forum to no avail.
I have attempted to repair with the installation disc, but it is concerned with booting Windows.
I have no problem in that regard.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

    Have a go at this:

As soon as you logon, open up Task Manager (Run >> taskmgr).
Look for 'explorer.exe' in the 'Processes' tab.
    End the process.
Now, go to the 'Applications' tab, and select 'New Task'.
    Type in the field 'explorer.exe'
Windows Explorer should open up again.

Now, after you've done all of that can you post your results, like if your problem happened again, or if it worked fine, or if a whole new problem came up.

    Cheers.

Yes, it does sound rather malware related, but it could just be an internal problem.

Through extensive trial and error I found the problem linked to two Real video files.
I deleted them and cleaned the recycle bin with CC Cleaner.
I have already looked trough the forums mentioned and used Malwarebytes and CC Cleaner.
I also ran a check with Microsoft Security Essentials.
    All came clean.
    Thank you for your trouble.
