Backup your mail to other folder using File/Export method but exclude the duff messages.
Delete your mail store in your user profile, then restart Mail and import the mail from the other folder.

Sounds easy enough - but how do I delete my mail store in your user profile? I don't have any e-mail I want to save so that should make it easy.

Does anyone have some suggestions on how to do this? :) It is still in my 'inbox". All other mail can be deleted and moved.
