How does one access "folder options" in Windows XP to change an existing default program for accessing a file folder to a different program as the default? For example, in windows 98 I would go to "Settings," then to "folderOptions" then to "file types" where I can then proceed to change programs.

    Would appreciate some help.

it's almost identical in XP. in the start menu go to Settings>Control Panel> Folder Options> then select the tab for File Types. or in My Computer or Windows Explorer go to the menu Tools>Folder Options. hope that was what you were looking for.
