    HI Guys,
When I click on the shut down or restart buttons... Xp says "saving your settings"...it then says "Windows is shutting down" it then freezes...and I have to use the soft restart button on my case or turn it off at the wall.

This happens when I try to shut down or restart my Pc?

    Any ideas?

Ok Problem solved....Thanks for the links they really helped!!! (y)

It looks like it was a screwy Pci slot with my sound blaster card. I put it in to another pci slot re installed the drivers and all is good....no freezing and it shuts down and restarts fine!!!

    Cheers

    Thanks again
