Can someone tell me how to fix the problem of no icons in my computer?

You can go to windows explorer and access C drive or D drive or the others but when you open My Computer-where it usually had the C:\drive and the cd-rom drive etc it just shows the little flashlite lookiing for them but never finds them. Is there something I can do to get the icons back into my computer?

xfile47, If you have Tweak UI installed start Tweak UI
Click the (+) sign near the My Computer section
    Select Drives
Put a checkmark next to the drive-letters that you want to unhide
    Click Apply, OK.
