I've noticed that XP is trying to install a program called Net everytime I start up.
I've checked in add/remove programs - nothing funny going on there.

    Someone might have an idea?

Please click HERE to download and install HijackThis.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile from the Main Menu.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    IMPORTANT: Do not fix anything

    Hi there Phantom010

Being a linux user myself, I was totally stumped. I have now just got this sorted - it was to do with the ethernet driver which I just uninstalled as we all use wireless.
Silly of me, but thanks for the reply. Have bookmarked the reply for future reference.

Thank you again for the quick reply
