Ok, this is bad.

I had a virus in the file "wininet.dll" so i changed the name of it to "wininet.old" and rebooted, hoping that the file would regenerate; and well, it didnt. so when i boot up in safe of regular mode i get this error message "This application has failed to start because WININET.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem"

it says that when i boot up, after i log in. and the start bar, or my icons dont come up.

any help would be wonderful.
thank you.

so if the file is still on your pc with an '.old' extension what happens if you change it back to 'dll' ?
