[SOLVED] winzip weird problem

    Hi,
    this is the second time that it happened to me I just downloaded a zip file (word perfect trial)and when I unzip it to a folder and try to open it it opened as easy cd creator !( wich is in my computer) is the zip file corrupted? this happened before
    any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    HI che

    delete your temporary internet files and reboot, then try again

    Thanks steamwiz for your reply,
    I tried deleting the temporary files even ran a disk defrag rebbooted ,and same thing tried to unzip and got cd creator instead of wordperfect.

    I suggest opening Winzip and dropping the file onto it. If it still opens as something else, it's probably something else. :) Are you sure this isn't a file association issue? Can you double click ZIP files and have them open properly?

    Thanks guys , I downloaded a trial version of winzip and it opened fine now, Maybe the unzip software that came with my computer is corrupted or something.

    If you were using Xp built in unzip method, forget it, it often causes that problem.

    Use a stand alone program like winzip
