    Hello,
I usually connect to the internet through a free wireless network at The Coffee Club Restaurant or Wireless HotSpot here in the city of brisbane. However, now my laptop will connect to the available networks, but it then does not let me bring up any websites or do anything.
I have a feeling someone tampered with the settings on my laptop.
Can anyone help me with some instructions on how to fix this?

Thanks for any help, it would be very much appreciated!!

Can you connect to the internet any where else? By ethernet?

When trying to connect to the wireless ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

    Hi,
I found and fixed the problem. Someone had bridged the network connection, so i just removed it and it's working perfectly.

    Thankyou for your time though!!
