As the title says The wired connection from my computer won't connect to the internet but it works fine with the wireless connection. This just started a couple of days ago. Any ideas as to what could cause this?

We may be able to eliminate or finger a cause if you connect via wireless while trying to connect via ethernet and show ...

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:
(For Vista type CMD in the Search box after Start)

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

[Sorry if you saw my incomplete post--I had hit the wrong button, and quickly erased it.]
