Hi everyone. I am running a Windows XP Professional computer. Anyway, I had a problem with Automatic Update staying on all day and not downloading anything so I disabled Automatic Update and restarted XP. Unfortunately, the process that controls Automatic Update (wuauclt.exe) is still running even after the reboot. Can anyone tell me why and should I worry about this?

    Do Start > Run > Services.msc
    Double click on Automatic Updates
    Change Startup Type to Manual
Click on the Stop button to stop the process
    OK your way out.
