If that machine is functioning as it should, and just slow, I wouldn`t touch those drivers you have. I`ve seen instances where drivers being updated just for the heck of it thinking it will speed up the computer have caused problems, especially with an older machine.

Drivers are free - who asked you to pay?

That's a good way to trash your computer.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

Go here and click the green "Download latest version" link to download and save HiJackThis 2.0.4

After it's been downloaded and saved, close all open windows first, then double-click it to install it.

Allow it to install in its default location - C:\Program Files.

After it's been installed, start it and allow its main window to load.

Uncheck "Do not show this window when I start HiJackThis".

Click "Do a system scan and save a log file".

When the scan is finished in 30 - 60 seconds, a log file will appear.

    Save that log file.

Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the ENTIRE log file here.

Right-click MY COMPUTER, then click Properties.

    Advise what's listed in the

    Computer:

section at the bottom of the "General" tab - exactly as you see it there.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Start HiJackThis.

Click on the "Open The Misc Tools Section" button.

Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button.

Click on the "Save List" button.

    Save the "uninstall_list.txt" file somewhere.

    It'll then open in Notepad.

Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the entirehere.

Why are you asking "then what" when you haven't carried out the instructions yet?

Flavallee has asked you to perform two tasks and report back.

The first one you won't be able to paste. You will have to type it but it's not very long.

The second is a log that you will copy and paste, yes.
