Solved: XP Search Problem

    All of a sudden, my search capability has disappeared. How do I get it back?

    Can You Explain a lil bit more

    Is search missing from start menu or ???

    Yep, and when I click the search button in Explorer, noothing happens. Also, it's gone from the CSM.

    Start > Run > regedit > navigate to

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

    On the Right Pane Delete "NoFind"

    Policies >< Explorer

    Found the correct entry, and deleted it. Search is now on my Start Menu, but it still doesn't work.

    What happens when you Click on Search From the Start Menu ..... and When From Within My Computer ...

    After Deleting the "NoFind" policy Did you Restarted Your Computer

    Start > Run > regsvr32 vbscript.dll
    Start >Run > regsvr32 jscript.dll
    Start > Run > regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\srchasst\srchui.dll

    It's working...only in explorer, but at least it's working.
