This new XP Service Pack is really scarring me, I don't know if I want to risk installing it or not. I've read so much 'hype' Pro and Con. Anyway, my question.
IF I decide to download the Service Pack 2, can I use 'System Restore' to delete it if I run into problems? Thanks :) Dave

99% of installs have no problems,it will create a restore point when it installs or you can uninstall from add and remove, make sure the box is ticked for the hidden updates at the top or it will not show up in add and remove

Well I suspected the service pack could be removed via Add\Remove but I was thinking of "System Restore" because it would not only delete this service pack but it would return any system settings that the service packed changed. Right? :) Thanks for your replies :) Dave

I'd wait a month or so unless there's some urgent need for it but obviously it's up to you. Personally, unless it's going to fix some urgent problem that I have, I never install large SP's when they're first released.
