I have a new system with Windows XP, using cable connection with Internet Explorer as my browser. I downloaded Zone Alarm, which I have used previously, and there appears to be a conflict with IE. I am unable to access the internet when ZA is enabled. I have searched Microsoft's site as well as ZA's site, and cannot seem to find an answer.

With my previous system, I had the same cable connection, and was using IE and had no problem. Could be something with this XP operating system?

First, the obvious - did you select to allow IE to connect? I think there's one or two other services that you need to allow to connect also.

Second, whenever I've had such probs with ZA, I just use Zonelab's uninstall instructions and then reinstall. Usually takes care of the probs.

A quick fix! Thanks. I had previously uninstalled ZA, but not according to their specific instructions. Once I deleted the iamdbr.rdb file per their instructions, and then installed ZA again, things seemed to be working. Let's hope!
