I have just started using AVG Free Addition and Zone Alarm Basic instead of Norton Antivirus and Spygate.
Everything seems to be runnig smoothly except for the fact that Zone Alarm isn't detecting AVG :confused:
Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this?
Origanaly I had Zone Alarm and Norton, and I remember that ZA DID alert me if something was up with Norton.
Any advice appreciated :)

I have run AVG and ZA for some time. I have never had ZA 'report' on AVG, and both progs work just fine. I think your prior experience is making you expect something that is not valid with the current configuration.

Thanks for the reply redoak:)
I won't worry about it now!
Both programs seem to be doing their thing.
Thanks again

Both programs will play nice with each other. There is nothing wrong. Zone Alarm has not been programmed to recognize AVG as yet. Future releases will pick up AVG at some point.

"BillC": What do you mean by "pick it up?"

"r": Glad to be helpful.

Thanks too you also BillC :)
I'll mark this as solved now!

redoak, I am pretty sure that BillC means that in ZA (under AntiVirus Monitoring) is tells you that there is no antivirus running, "not picking it up"
That's why I was concerned.

Thank you everyone for the help
