Hi all, I recently purchased a Compaq Presario 1720US laptop computer with Windows XP. When shopping for laptops I noticed that most screens were XGA TFT. What is TFT ? There were some models that were super XGA. What is this ? Is SXGA much better than XGA ?
I noticed that you can recharge your laptop battery by using an AC adapter, but is there a limit to how many times you can recharge the battery ? Can you use the same battery for several years provided you charge it regularly?

Thanks for any info.

hiya alex,

About SXGA and XGA:

About TFT:

About the rechargable battery and the AC adapter......battery life will vary depending on the type and the usage of your laptop.
The best info is within the owners manual of the unit you just purchased and you should read it in detail so as to get the MAX out of the battery contained therein.
Batteries ain't cheap to replace so try to follow the MFG. usage and care of the one that you have........

Hope you enjoy it and let us know if you need more info.......
