Every time I log on to my computer, I get a warning message from Symantec that, "Some Symantec product settings have been changed by an unauthorized program. This can indicate that an attacker or a virus is attempting to disable your protection. To avoid problems, settings will be reverted to the previous configuration and your system will be restarted. Click OK to continue."
Well, first, after clicking OK, the system is not (thankfully) restarted. Second, when I click on the "Symantec Technical Support Knowledge Base" link, it takes me to an explanation that is similar, but not exactly my problem. It suggests rerunning LiveUpdate. I have. I still get the stupid message.
I'm using Norton Systemworks 2003 on a Windows 2000 machine.
Any ideas how I can get this to go away?
