Hi all!

My turn has come to deal with spyware and trojans scum.

What happens: IE loads all the time with some crap search page as default and an warning popup appears saying something like: "Windows detected spy software "scpStelth.cih" ver.2.018.Somebody is trying to access you through port 443.Your private information is in danger.". And so on... Same annoying webpage appears in anything that has to do with Internet Explorer (ie while browsing files with Windows Explorer).

What I've tried so far:
- Spybot: found and removed a bunch of spyware/addware/trojans I had no idea I had. Some stuff could not be removed unless I restart and have Spybot start at startup. Did that. My problem remained.
- CWShredder: found and fixed nothing
- Microsoft AntiSpyware: again, this one found a bunch of crap and said it removed them. However, whenever I restart the scan, it always find some 2-3 trojans, same ones every time: Trojan.Small, Possible Browser Hijack, SuperSpider. Also, the tool that is supposed to change your IE settings (start page etc) doesn't help.
- tried to eliminate any suspicions startup crap using msconfig and investigating on the internet. Removed: tweakui.cpl and ieloader.exe

So far, nothing worked. I downloaded HijackThis and I'll be posting the log shortly.

Pls help! :)

Welcome to TSG

and reformatting is always our last choice :D

Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall New.Net (NewDotNet). If that doesn't work do the this:

First Click here to download LspFix

You may not need it, but go ahead and download it just in case.

Now go here and scroll to the bottom of the page to Precedure 4 and download and run the New.Net uninstaller.

If you lose your internet connection after running the New.Net uninstaller, Run LspFix, and click Finish. (Don't do anything else)

That should restore the internet connection.

Run Hijackthis and fix the following items. Be sure all windows are closed except for hijackthis.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL = http://win-eto.com/sp.htm?id=31130

Tried to fix those issues with HijackThis but apparently nothing was changed.

Anyway, I think I fixed the problem. One word: Ad-Aware! (y) Had to use it in safe mode, though.

Here's the latest HijackThis log. Pls tell me if you notice anything fishy anymore (well, I can still see some fishy things, but dunno if they're important or not).
