Edit: sorry if that was too rude!

I guess I am not the romantic type:p :p Valley is right about the haunted sound in music that stops me...here is another one called Skellig...Loreena Mckennitt

Oh light the candle John. The daylight has almost gone. The birds have sung their last. The bells call all to mass. Sit there by my side. For the night is very long. There's something I must tell. Before I pass along.

I joined the brotherhood. My books were all to me. I scribbed the words of God. And much of history. Many a year was I. Perched out upon the sea. The waves would wash my tears. the wind my memory.

I'd hear the ocean breathe. Exhale upon the shore. I knew the Tempest's blood. Its wrathe I would endure. And so the years went by. Within my rocky cell. With only a mouse or bird. My friend, I loved them well.

And so it came to pass. I'd come here to Romani. And many a year it took. Till I arrived here with thee. On dusty roads I walked. And over mountains high. Through rivers running deep. Beneath the endless sky.

Beneath these Jasmine flowers. Amidst these cypress trees. I give you now my books. And all their mysteries. Now take the hourglass. And turn it on its head. For when the sands are still. It's then you'll find me dead.

Oh light the candle John. The daylight is almost gone. The birds have sung their last. The bells call all to mass.

I knew you were teasing, silly girl! :p

and my level of hormones seems to be stuck at the premenopausal level these days. :D

absolutely. I have one that perfectly describes my husband. Its called "When He Shines" by Sheena Easton:

This man's a child, this man is old
Sometimes he's mild, sometimes he's bold
This man I love, sometimes in spite
I wish he would stick to his guns, or abandon the fight

But when he shines, oh when he shines
Yes when he shines, he shines so bright

Sometimes a tramp, sometimes a dude
He changes colour just like a cameleon, can't find the mood
He is a song that's not easy to write
He is a moon in the morning, and the sun out at night

But when he shines, when he shines, oh when he shines, he shines so bright

This man's a gentleman, this man is strong
This temperamental man plays me along

But when he shines, when he shines, oh when he shines, he shines so bright
Yes when he shines, when he shines, oh when he shines, he shines so bright

    (Instrumental break)

But when he shines, oh when he shines
Yes when he shines, he shines so bright

Now theres a slushy song for ya! I put that song to a slideshow tribute that I gave to hubby one year for our anniversary. Still gets me every time I hear it! *borrows fishy's sigh* And hubby knows how to play it up too, lol. [IMG]

RICKY VAN SHELTON-keep it between the lines :)

He was sittin beside me in the passenger seat.
As I looked through the windshield at the quiet little street.
He was smilin so proud, as he gave me the key.
But inside I knew, he was as nervous as me.

And I said, "Daddy, oh daddy, are you sure I know how?"
"Are you sure that I'm ready to drive this car now?"
He said, "I'm right here beside you and you're gonna do fine."
"All you gotta do, is keep it between the lines."

'Cause it's a long narrow road
    Only the good Lord knows
Where it leads in the end
    But you've got to begin
So keep your hands on the wheel
Believe in the things that real
    Just take your time
And keep it between the lines.

I was sitting in my chair
    Kinda sneakin a look
At him lyin on the floor
    With his coloring book
    Then he caught me watchin
And he climbed on my knee

Said, "Daddy, oh daddy, would you do one with me?"
Then I hugged him so tightly as we turned the page.
Said, "I haven't done this, since I was your age."
He said, "I'm right here beside you and your gonna do fine."
"Daddy, all you gotta do, is keep it between the lines."

    So we finished the picture
And I put him to bed
    Got down on my knees
    And I bowed my head

And I said, "Father, oh Father, I feel so alone."
"Are you sure I can raise him, with his mommy gone?"
Then the answer came back so gentle and low.
In the words of my daddy from so long ago
Said, "I'm right here beside you and you're gonna do fine."
"All you gotta do, is keep it between the lines."

So keep your hands on the wheel
Believe in the things that are real
    Take your time
And keep it between the lines

    Just take your time
And keep it between the lines

    Well MANCHILD

springs to mind then.. are not all men boys really:)

    OK,
you’re on your own, it’s late
Your girlfriend is on another date with the hero in your dream
Turn around, ask yourself. So, you think you’re gonna win this time Manchild?

Is it the pain of the drinking
    Or the Sunday sinking feeling
The car never seems to work
When it’s late your girlfriend’s on a date
And the hero with her in your dream
In your sleep it seemed to like you
    Turn around and ask yourself
    Turn around ask yourself

    Chorus:
    Manchild, will you ever win
Manchild, look at the state you’re in

    Could you go undercover
And sell your brand new lover (could you)
Be someone else for a night
Maybe someone else will love you
You sell your soul for a tacky song
Like the one you hear on the radio
    Turn around ask yourself
    Turn around and ask yourself

    Chorus:
    Manchild, will you ever win
Manchild, look at the state you’re in
Manchild, he will make you cry
    Manchild, Manchild, Manchild

    From Monday down to Friday
You’re working on another man’s car
Or is it in the factory?
It doesn’t matter where you are

Just turn around and ask yourself is this communication
Accentuate the positive and give some illustration
See Manchild, you’re no one, you turn the microphone on
Control communication when I’m kickin’ it and so on
To the point that I need, the air that I breathe
Into an audience that’s waiting and ecstatic to receive
For the meantime another mean rhyme, I keep on sayin’ it
I know what the time is the crowd will keep playing it
Through the speaker boxes loud’s my diagnosis
‘Cause I believe in miracles and words in heavy doses.
    Enough R-E-S-P-E and C-T
Respect yourself express no stress the mike is easy
Just believe that all you need is the air that you breathe.
    Turn around ask yourself

    Chorus:
    Manchild, will you ever win
Manchild, look at the state you’re in
Manchild, he will make you cry
    Manchild, Manchild, Manchild
He’s the apple of your eye

Once bitten twice shy, why don’t you bite me again
Just take it in the right and go tell your friend
Are you ready for the words I turn the microphone on
A figure of speech to reach you at the back and so on
The style I’m stimulating dance floors
Raise your body temperature now and
This demands for power in the amp you know louds my diagnosis
‘Cause I believe in miracles and words in heavy doses.

Since my dad died this song brings a tear to my eye.

    Roy orbison

A candy-colored clown they call the sandman
Tiptoes to my room every night
Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper
Go to sleep. everything is all right.

I close my eyes, then I drift away
Into the magic night. I softly say
A silent prayer like dreamers do.
Then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you.

In dreams I walk with you. in dreams I talk to you.
In dreams youre mine. all of the time were together
    In dreams, in dreams.

But just before the dawn, I awake and find you gone.
I cant help it, I cant help it, if I cry.
I remember that you said goodbye.
