Hiya and welcome

Lets see what video card you have. Go to Control Panel | System | Hardware tab | Device Manager.

Under Display will be the name of your video card. Also, rightclick and choose Properties, and then Driver tab. Whats the version?

I assume this is XP, if not which version of Windows are you running?

Also, have you tried other dvd's? Plus, do you have a DVD program installed, like WinDVD?

Regards

Do you have a DVD program, like WinDVD or something from Nero, installed?

I looked at ATI's site for drivers, and for mobility, they tend to only have Radeon's, not Rage :(

You could try it this way, but create a restore point before you do it, just in case:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/getstarted/ballew_03may19.mspx

Then, try this:

Control Panel | System | Hardware tab | Device Manager | Expand on Display and rightclick on your graphics card, and select Update Driver.

Also, do you have XP Service Pack 2 installed?
