Sony Vaio VGN-FS115B function keys not working

Hi,

after a fresh install of windows xp on this sony vaio laptop the Fn keys to enable video output to an external video source seems to be dis-abled, anyone know where i can get the software to put back into windows? i have been to look for drivers but all i see is the sony dll utility driver and the service driver of some sort still no Fn keys seem to work

can anyone help please?

Hello,

Did you install XP from the manufacturer's CD or one you purchased? If the latter, the Fn keys may not function. There's supposed to a "hotkey utility" driver on the manufacturer's CD. Or, alternatively, it should be available somewhere on the Sony website.

If you do do this, restart the computer after installing.
