Hi, I bought a software development from Russia during the week and I can't get it to run on Xp or Vista. When I try and run it I get a "soulEngine.exe: fatal error in loading" message. What the heck is a soulEngine ???? and how can I fix this problem. Absolutely any guesses or answers or advice or anything regarding this matter would be most welcome. Thank you

Only info I can find for soulEngine.exe is that it's the main executable file for PHP Developer Studio, but nothing's coming up on Google Search about it causing an error.

Cheers thanks for looking, that's all I've managed to find and I've installed the development software and still no joy. I haven't got a clue what to do now maybe the file is corrupt. I really appreciate your input cheers

that package needs net framework 3.5 installed on the computer & without it, you will get errors
however everything I can find out is machine translated from Russian so might not be 100% accurate

I am guessing taht you on;ly have net framework 2 on your XP system & 3 on the vista 1

Cheers for trying but have installed new netframe with high hopes and was shot down. I think it's either a corrupt file or it might be that my computer is not russian maybe (just another trail of thought). I appreciate you taking time to help me anyway. Cheers

I've sorted the problem and thought I would post the answer to help anyone with this problem. You actually need a small program called soulEngine.pak. You put this file in the same folder as the program you are trying to run. I hope this will help someone else. Thanks to the people who tried to help it was much appreciated.

glad you solved it, it is always much harder with "rarer" programs and even worse when trying to machine translate from Russina or any language with a different character set to English
