Sound device

    :confused:hello i do hope you can help me i am getting an message that says:Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly. how do i fix this?

    Start off in Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Hardware to see if there's a device installed. Do you hear the Windows walk-on music when you boot up?

    no i dont have that and i dont even have a volume control.
