sound distortion

i hope someone can help i have just put a new graphics card into my machine (win 98) and every time i try and play games i get a distorted sound crackling my graphics card is a tnt geforce 2 64 mb agp, and my sound card is a sound blaster 128 pci

Hi there,

Did you try changing settings?(volume etc.)

Sound, NIC and modem tend to suffer from electronic noise. If that noise come from bus, you can't do anything about it.(This is why they created CNR and AMR slot)

If it's an electric magnetic field thing, however, you may be able to reduce the noise by moving the card as far as possible.
