I do not recieve any sound from my laptop. The only device that's enabled is the Digital Audio (S/PDIF), there is no speakers device/icon available for me to select. No sound comes if I play anything with out headphones, and with headphones, still no sound.

Hi graffar and welcome to TSG. Whats the make and model of your laptop? Go into device manager and see if there are any exclamation marks in the sound devices. Let us know. Right click the start orb \ Properties \ taskbar tab \Notification area \ Customize. Make sure Volume is set for "Show Icon and Notifications" Check and see if the sound isn't muted in the control panel.

It's a Lenovo 0689. There is no exclamation and the sound is not on mute. I've done many trouble shooters and problem detects but I'm not sure what the problem is. In my sounds the only device available is the S/PDIF, there's no typical speakers icon available, but I'm not sure if that's the issue or not.
