WHEN PLAYING SOUNDS IN WINDOWS XP SOUND STUTTERS. NO PROBLEM PLAYING CDS BUT STUTTERS WITH MP3, WAV ETC. LATEST SOUNDCARD, GRAPHICS AND MOTHERBOARD DRIVERS LOADED. CHANGING SOUNDCARD DOESNT STOP THE PROBLEM.

    SYSTEM SETUP:

    WINDOWS XP HOME
    ATHLON 1.0 THUNDERBIRD CPU
ABIT KT7-RIAD MOTHERBOARD (RAID FACILITY NOT IN USE)
NVIDIA GEFORCE 3TI 200 GRAPHICS CARD
    VIDIOLOGIC SONICFURY SOUNDCARD
    IBM HARDRIVE 30GIG
    384 MBRAM
    DIRECTX 8.1

    ?ANY IDEAS?

    Welcome to TSG!

    Try this:

    Go into control panel
    "Sounds and Audio Devices"
reduce the sample rate for the audio and see if that helps!
