sound won't work

    i got a msi - 850 pro LE with an advance devices onboard 1881 sound card in p4/512 winxp pro sp1. It loads the drivers but in the sound section of the control panel it says no sound device?? NE clues?? :confused:

    Have You Looked In Your Hardware Manager For Error Messages And Or To See If The Device Is Enabled.Two make suret that you are using the correct drivers Three Is The Device Enabled In Your Bios You Sound Pretty Savvy So Check It Out Try Your Troubleshooter Let Us Know What Happens.

    No conflicts in windows. The right driver is installed. The device in enabled in bios and I even tried a new sound card disabling the onboard sound and that won't even work.. Has to be something in windows... Any help would be appreciated. Thankss

    Go into Control Panel/Sounds, and check out the Audio Tab. Is the correct audio device selected for the Default sound device??? Also check out the Hardware Tab and make sure that the correct devices are installed.
