space simulation games

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could reccommend a space simulation game which runs on windows xp, similar to Privateer 2 The Darkening (if anyone remembers that far back lol!)?

I remember playing a shareware game a few months back (before I had to reformat and lost it) where you traded from planet to planet and also you could buy staff to mine gold on each planet, so that when you came back you could collect the money, does anyone know what it was called?

I think Eve online is like what you were talking about...you have to pay for it, but you can play a demo for 30 days here.

If you can find it, FreeSpace 2: Colossus. All-out brilliant space simulator/fighter game, even with the age (5 or so years old).
