    Appreciate some assistance.

Read somewhere that much of the spam received is not addressed to you personally. Therefore, you can set up a filter through OE Message Rules for the content of the 'To:' field in a message.

How can I get an e-mail message if my e-mail address is not used? Do not quite understand. Would apppreciate an explanation or a good article regarding this specific issue.

    Thanks for your help.

    :)

Tomsterdam's OE site has some good info

Mailwasher is a good program to use, but it's no longer as free as it was, unless you can find an older version around

    Thanks for the link.

On the spam not being addressed to me personally, finally saw the light on this one, after a little research.

The: 'To: or CC:' areas of an e-mail will not have a recipient's e-mail address because spammers use the 'BCC:' (Blind Carbon Copy) area of the message to send e-mail to the gazillion people they target.

Outlook, Outlook Express, and some other mail clients have some tools to filter spam. It just takes some testing and tweaking to see what works best.

Guess MailWasher saw they had a good thing going, so it is no longer free.
