Whenever I open Guitar Rig (Multi-effects processor for guitars), Windows pops up a message saying my SPI (Creative X-Fi Module) has crashed, and the only way I can restart it is by restarting my computer.

Without having the SPI running, I can't open my X-Fi console to change my sound settings, and my sound goes to crap.

Why does it crash when I run Guitar Rig?

btw, this is on Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit.
