Looking around Sypbot and in excludes\singel excludes I have the following entry-winnt32.exe. (evidently something to do with W2000). I didn't put it there does SB come preloaded with it? I am using W98SE.

FWIW I would say no it is not preloaded there because it is not on my Win98....all I have under single excludes is alexa related, ahead compilation directory and Google toolbar..IIRC I put all 3 of them in there...
Is that the onlt entry you have or just the only one you have a question about??

That is the only one. I have Alexa Related checked under the spybots.ibi tab.

Windows registry: winnt32.exe

Yes it's in mine - I have win98 (never had anything else)

First time I've looked in there and there it is - must be put there by default - because I never put it there

Well if that's the casse with you , too it must be default. Maybe mine was removed when I manually added/edited the entries..only conclusion I can draw at this point...Where the heck is TonyK in this anyway??? ;)

Hi there! :D

It is there by default.

According to Patrick, "It's a standard Windows entry for a file on the Windows Installation CD (NT, 2000, XP). As this CD is most probably not in your drive when you scan your system, this would cause Spybot-S&D to report this as a problem if it weren't excluded"
