I scanned my computer for spyware and it pulled up a lot more than my ad-ware program did. Well, I deleted the spyware from my computer. Well, a couple of months ago I deleted a spyware called Sahagent. When I did, I could not log on to the internet. I had absolutely no connection whatsoever. In order for me to log on to the internet, I had to restore it. Then, my connection was fine. Well, Saturday night, I ran the scan that the yahoo toolbar has and accidently deleted the sahagent, and once again, I had no internet connection. My messengers wouldn't couldn't. The computers would show on task bar but was only recieving 24 bytes per second. So, I didn't have a way to restore it. The next morning, I called the tech support. He helped me the best he could. I checked my registry and everything seemed fine. Still had no connection. He couldn't tell me what the problem could be. After I got off the phone with him, I went to find and searched for sahagent files, I found them. I deleted them then rebooted. I logged on and it was fine. Ran a lot better since I went into MS Dos mode and did a registry scan and clicked restored.
But then, I ran another scan and more spyware came up and I deleted it. And then once, again, had no internet connection. And sahagent was already completely off my computer so I knew it wasn't because of it. So, once again I went back into MS DOS mode and did what he told me, restored.. then I was able to log on to the internet again. I ran another scan and the same stuff came up but I didn't delete it because I knew I would have no internet connection.
So, I am asking... what could it be that is making my connection dead?
And also, this error message coming up on my desktop when I log on. It says the following....
C:/Progra `1/New Dot`1/New Dot `2.DLL
The system cannot find the path.
I need this removed.
