I have read all different kinds of suggestions for keeping my computer safe when downloading from websites and now I'm confused. I have Norton Anti-Virus. Do I need an online scanner or spyware? Or both? Will they work with Norton? Which one is the best? What website is the best/safest to download music?

Too many question? Hope not.
Thanks.

Spybot S&D is great! Another good thing to get is SpywareBlaster which prevents the installation of a lot of spyware. You can download it here:

I recommend you get both and be sure to check for updates often.

Here's a list of p2p file sharing sites with and without spyware:

If you want to learn about protecting yourself from spyware, read the articles at that website.

Do I save to C drive? Are these going to use up alot of disk space and make my computer even slower?

Thanks.

You can download the installer to where ever you want. When you run the setup, it will linstall them in the program files. They are small files, and they only run when you run them, so they don't slow you down at all. They don't run all the time, only when you choose to run them.

Good luck.
