Im having difficulty trying to restore a database on a differend SQL server....

I have ran a backup on the SQL server1 using the Backup wizard and doing a complete backup then I copied that backup set on to new server on the new server I ran the restore wizard and chose from device I chose the backup set from SQL server 1 and then try to run the backup I get a "microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLsTATE: 42000)" the file XX.MDf cannot be used by RESTORE. consider using the with move option to identify a valid location for the file. backup or restore operation terminating abnormally.

Do you already have an Enterprise Manager connection to the other server? Shouldn't be an problem at all if you have the connection. Have you tried to move objects and tables to the recovery server? Are you using the backup utility in Enterprise Manager or another backup utility?
