    Hi folks,
    NEWBY type q:
I've been having lots of troubles with my ISP ( or rather they have!) and one of their people told me that the Site was under SSL and it was a bit hard to believe............ but it is!

I thought HTTPS was ONLY used during a required high security action like a transaction - and not used other times because it slowed the Server down greatly.

Can anyone educate me ( and them) here, please?
BTW: It does not identify itself as HTTPS initially.

    Cheers,

    Hiya

Its pretty rare for me to answer anything here, but we have to learn each day:p

Now, just gone to the site and the first thing that I saw was the yellow padlock in the bottom of the window, near the Internet globe. That suggests that it us a secure site.

The reason is that it uses a login at this page. It just seems to be a more secure way for that site to operate.

Are you having problems viewing this page, and if so, are you using IE, and which version if you are?

You may not have the full encryption allowed, as many are 128-bit. Go to Help | About and tell me the version number and encryption.

    Regards

    eddie
