Forum newbie. Computer would boot to signon then reboot again and freeze. I did a recovery and the system still seems slow. Ran Spybot and Norton. Here is my hijack this list. Would love to get feedback. Any suggestions welcome. Thank you so much.

    Hi and welcome to TSG,

Please download the latest version of Hijack This and post another log. Do not save it to the temporary files.

Click here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html to download Hijack This.

ItÂ’s very important that you save it to its own folder on your hard drive, such as program files (not temporary files or the desktop), so that it can create proper back-ups and be able to restore them if necessary.

I'm kind of new to this. I will download the newest hijack this and post another log. What do you mean to not save to a temp file? I did create a new folder for hijack this.

    Thanks for the help.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Directory 5 for hijackthis.zip\HijackThis.exe

This entry tells me that you have downloaded Hijack This to temporary files. It needs to be in its own folder on your hard drive, for example in programs files - then create a folder for it and give it a name, i.e. Hijack This.

    AD-AWARE

    Go here: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
    and download Ad-Aware SE Personal

Install the program and launch it.

First, in the bottom right-hand corner of the main window click on Check for updates now then click Connect and download the latest reference files.

Then, in the main window: Click Start and under Select a scan Mode tick Perform full system scan.

Then, deselect Search for negligible risk entries.

To start the scan, click the Next button.

When the scan is finished mark everything for removal and get rid of it. (Right-click the window and choose select all from the drop down menu and then click Next)

Restart your computer and post another log please.
